YC-1610 Low Voltage VFD

Brass Volumetric Water Meter for Cold Water

This brass volumetric water meter is a rotary piston, positive displacement meter designed to record the total volume of cold potable water flowing through a service pipe. It is also suitable for purified water applications. The meter’s oscillating piston traps fixed-volume parcels of water in a measuring chamber of known volume, delivering high accuracy even at very low flow rates. Its all-brass housing provides excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, while the rotary piston design ensures reliable, long-term performance.

Key Features of The Brass Volumetric Water Meter

💧 Low Starting Flow

The rotary piston measuring principle allows the meter to register very small amounts of water, with a starting flow as low as approximately 0.6–0.7 L/h in comparable models. This makes it ideal for applications where accurate low-flow measurement is critical.

🔄 Any Mounting Position

The meter can be installed in any orientation — horizontal, vertical, or inclined — without the need for straight calming sections upstream or downstream. This flexibility simplifies installation in constrained spaces and retrofit projects.

⚙️ Rotary Piston Reliability

The oscillating piston creates fixed-volume discrete parcels of water as it rotates within the measuring chamber, ensuring positive displacement measurement with no bypass. The design is mechanically simple, with few moving parts, resulting in high reliability and minimal maintenance.

🎯 High Accuracy

The meter delivers ±2% accuracy from transitional flow (Q2) to overload flow (Q4), and ±5% accuracy from minimum flow (Q1) to transitional flow (Q2). This performance is maintained across the full operating range.

🏗️ All-Brass Housing

The meter body is manufactured entirely from brass, providing excellent mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion and scaling. The brass housing also ensures dimensional stability and a long service life, even in demanding water conditions.

📡 Optional Remote Transmission

The meter can be supplied with a remote transmission device (pulse output or digital interface) for integration with automatic meter reading (AMR) systems, enabling remote monitoring and data collection.

⚡Flow Error Curve

The error curve remains within the ±2% band from transitional flow (Q2) to overload flow (Q4). At low flows between minimum flow (Q1) and transitional flow (Q2), the error stays within ±5%. The curve is stable across the full operating temperature range.
